Silke Burmeister is a Journalist and Producer working for German television and multimedia platforms.

Since earning a degree in broadcast journalism in 2004, I have enjoyed working in many facets of the entertainment industry. I´ve produced prime-time reality shows, created and directed docuseries for Germany´s largest television networks, covered breaking news as well as live-events such as the Oscars, and interviewed A-list actors to promote new films to European audiences. I possess a diverse set of production and storytelling skills, and can guarantee successful projects. Fluent in English, German and French. Eager to improve Spanish.

ProSieben Television contracts me annually to produce the live red carpet coverage of the Academy Awards for all German speaking countries and audiences.

I cover press junkets, movie premieres and Hollywood´s finest red carpet events. I often interview cast and filmmakers of upcoming films and create compelling TV segments for German speaking audiences to promote American movie releases.

Additionally, I´ve covered US Election Specials and produced news segments specializing on California.

Over the past decade, I built a solid network of professionals and am fortunate to collaborate with excellent camera crews including cinematographers, sound recordists, make-up artists, still photographers and PAs. Creative service available from pre-production to post.

Having been born in Germany and brought up in the West African country of Niger, I am fluent in English, French and German.
